First Place for Youth

More than 25,000 foster kids age out of the foster care system in the United States each year. For too many of these young people, a lifetime of instability and a lack of strong family and community connections have put them at high risk for homelessness, incarceration, and long-term poverty.

First Place for Youth helps foster kids beat the odds and prove that more is possible.

Through the My First PlaceTM program, young people receive comprehensive housing, education and employment, and healthy living support services. With ongoing guidance from their First Place team, participants are empowered to set goals for the future and build the skills necessary for success in the transition from foster care to self-sufficient adulthood.
