Paralyzed Veterans

The Bay Area & Western Chapter of the Paralyzed Veterans of America (BAWPVA) is dedicated to improving the quality of life and protecting the civil rights of Veterans with paralysis. They are committed to the duty of assisting paralyzed Veterans by advocating for unfettered access to the VA health care and barrier-free access to the community.

The Paralyzed Veterans’ Palo Alto facility offers a variety of inpatient and outpatient services, programs, as well as a welcoming environment for members to receive physical therapy and participate in group activities. As well, the BAWPVA sponsors members who wish to participate in sporting events such as the National Veterans Wheelchair Games.

The Paralyzed Veterans of America is supported solely by funding from grants and donations. We are honored to support this valuable program because it gives our well-deserving Veterans a chance to a full life in light of their service and sacrifice for our country.
